Camberwell travelled to Hampton for a solid 15-4 victory over the newly formed MCC team.  This was an historic day for MCC as the club is building a new junior presence in the Hampton-Beaumaris region as part of its strategic planning to improve junior numbers in their club.  The MCC team, comprised largely of players new to lacrosse looked smart in new uniforms and performed well.

Andrew Samson-Loxton found early form, moving like a freight train through Caulfield players, to score our first goal of the season.  It was Coach Billy's first goal as a game coach for Camberwell - his signature call ?  "Thats the way, Baby!".  

Ned McKenna, Mason Lewis, Alex Wenczel and Fergus Boyd all made some great opportunities, but we were unable to convert them.

Training will commence as follows:

Three indoor sessions will be held indoors at the YMCA Ashburton on Mon 27th Feb, Mon 6th March and Mon 13th March 7.00 - 7.45pm  after which practices will move outdoors and be held each week except in school holidays at our club home fields on Thursdays 5.30-6.30pm at Dorothy Laver Reserve, off Dunlop St, Ashburton  

Get your diary out for a special start to our 2017 Lacrosse season.  Monday 20th February brings our special junior season opener for all new and existing juniors) to be held indoors at the YMCA, Ashburton Pool & Recreation Centre, Warner Ave, Ashburton between 7.00 - 8.30pm.

It will be a fun start to our year with activities (and prizes) designed for junior players and their parents.  So come along mums and dads, brothers and sisters and any friends aged 8- 16 years who might like to try lacrosse.

In excess of 100 children from six local Primary schools are set to descend on Dorothy Laver Reserve, Ashburton on Thursday 8th December between 6.00 and 8.00pm.

On Saturday night Camberwell Lacrosse Club celebrated our Senior Presentation Night at Eric Raven Reserve Clubhouse.Congratulations to the following winners of awards:

Division 2

Last Friday was a Big night for Camberwell Lacrosse Club at the annual Lacrosse Victoria Presentation night.

RSVPs are now due for the 2016 Senior Presentation Night. Please follow the flyer below and organise your RSVP before Tuesday 6th September.

This year there will be a 2 course dinner including a spit roast, with drinks available at the Bar. This year will also see the return of the vote counts as well as a red carpet and awards for best dressed. Don't miss out, and for all information, check out the flyer linked below.

For more than 40 years our club has been pushing to have a practice wall at Dorothy Laver Reserve.  Council considered it to be impractical due to the location on the Gardiner's Creek floodplain.  But hey presto, it's finally happened thanks to some smart engineering and improved construction materials.
