Sean Aaron named Lacrosse Victoria Best & Fairest

Sean anchored our defensive line, allowing only 126 goals in 18 games (or 7 goals per game) - fewest in the competition.  Capping a great year between the pipes, Sean was named last Friday as Lacrosse Victoria Best & Fairest for 2017!

This is the 2nd year in a row where a Camberwell Lacrosse Club state league player is named league best & fairest (last year it was Joel Easson).

Way to go Seany!!!

Camberwell Lacrosse Club bags 5 All Star awards

Last Friday, at the Lacrosse Victoria awards night Camberwell Lacrosse Club had 5 people from our State League team named into the LV All Stars team:

  • Clinton (Cocky) Lander (A), led the league in points
  • Eric DeStefano (M)
  • Al Glountnay (D)
  • Sean Aaron (GK)
  • Tim Murphy (Coach)

For Cocky, Al and Tim this is their 2nd year in a row being named to the All Stars team.

This windfall, representing roughly half of the All Stars team, is a testament to the great season we had in 2017 and signs of a bright future.

2017 Junior awards

Last Sunday our junior boys and girls celebrated the end of the 2017 season at the Junior Presentations. Held at the Dorothy Laver clubrooms, it was a beautiful sunny spring day which saw two matches pitting kids vs. parents, BBQ lunch and celebrating the season with the 2017 Junior awards. Below are the deserving recipients and we hope to see all of then return for an even better 2018 season.
