Close Games at Junior Indoor

It was a night of close results at the Junior Indoor competition this week. The Reds and Purples matched it 9-all and the Blues grabbed a last-minute goal to tie 6-all with the Yellows.

Down a goal with thirty seconds to play, the Blues looked beaten, but Freddie cut through the Yellow defense to hammer the ball into the net for the tie.  Tilly Lodge dominated the attack for the girls in Yellow, coming up with 3 goals on feeds from Maddy and Ruby.  At the other end Alex and Fred led the scoring as Ben, Owen and Zac worked hard to recover loose balls and slip the ball into attack.

Southern Crosse team report

Well done to Miles Cowton, Marcus Woon, Mason Lewis and Ned McKenna for their great performance at the U15 national tournament. Here is their report...

We had an amazing time at the ala u/15 national lacrosse tournament.   Our Southern Crosse played many, and beat many teams from around Australia, including the Victorians - Northern Warriors & Western Metro.  In the end we lost the grand final in a sudden death overtime against Southern Braves from Western Australia.  Pretty happy that we were the second best team in Australia & New Zealand though.

Sparkling Play at Junior Indoor

The junior section of the MILL Indoor competition provided some great highlights on Monday night with 40 girls and boys, all aged 12-14 years competing.

Premiership Triumph

Camberwell overcame the odds, and powerhouse Williamstown, to take out the 2018 Division Two premiership on Saturday 15th September. Coming from fourth place on the end-of-season ladder, the Chiefs squeezed their way past Altona and Surrey Park to make the Grand Final. Having dominant player, Mat Kerr, out of Victoria on business set the challenge for the day.
