Under 9 Lacrosse Program to Start in 2019

Camberwell is gearing up to respond to requests from local families for a junior lacrosse program which caters for girls and boys aged 6 to 8 years.

Currently Lacrosse Victoria offers Under 11 as the starting age inter-club competition but this leaves the younger children without something for their age groups. Junior sports in the Ashburton and Glen Iris area needs more options than just soccer and football. 

Starting in April next year, Camberwell is aiming to fill the gap with its own local program for Under 9’s. A mixed gender, skills-based competition for between six and eight teams involving local Primary Schools will be provided on Saturday mornings at Camberwell Lacrosse Club. The program will run in School Terms 2 and 3 at a convenient location in Ashburton or Glen Iris.
