U11's travel to Altona
Camberwell Cannons 11 lost to Altona 17
New player Nick O’Meara opened brilliantly with an early goal for the Camberwell Cannons and went on to cap a great debut with 3 goals, two assists and a best player vote from the referees. Fellow Parkhill schoolmates, James Wright, Dylan Wicken and Billy Norton contributed 2 goals and 5 assists between them but it was Remy Turner who played the standout game with 6 great goals against spirited defense.
Two dominant players for Altona bagged 14 goals between them and Camberwell found them difficult to stop. Emma Hew is showing increasing confidence each week and she was rewarded with a nice goal.
Best: Turner, Hew, O’Meara
Tanks Supreme in Strong Win
The Camberwell Tanks continued on their winning way with a 16 to 3 scoreline over Altona White.
Bailey Nicholls led the charge with 8 goals off the midfield and was well backed up by Owen Siebel, Magnus McRae, Andrew Balzat-Fuller and Joel Goldhagen. Balzat-Fuller’s all-field running and loose ball recovery was outstanding and all of the Tanks applied themselves well to covering opposition to win many turnovers.
Scorers: Nicholls 8, Siebel 3, McCrae 2, Balzat-Fuller 2, Goldhagen
Best: Nicholls, Siebel, Balzat-Fuller
