Girls round 1 successes

Our girls team had a great start to their season this weekend with a clean sweep, starting with the Under 12's...

Under 12 game v Malvern

What a super effort for our first game back for 2022! It was fantastic to be back on the field, and while we took a quarter or two to adjust to the new rules for this age group, I think they suited us in the end. Tia and Hudson showing their great game sense in getting ahead of the ball, and Lacey and Charlotte L fought hard for loose balls all over the field and converted in front of goal. Amelia did a fantastic job tagging players throughout the midfield, and a super game from Mia (in particular in the last quarter!) saw the effort she put into getting back into defence rewarded with goals at the other end.

Special mention to Charlotte P in her first game of lacrosse - you looked like a natural out there!

Congrats to all on a great effort (including our super ref Clinton Lander) - especially getting there on time given our new 8:45am start time! 

Final score: Camberwell 14 - Malvern 12
