Preview: State League v Footscray

Camberwell State League is looking for their first win of the season, but will have a tough time getting past the new look Footscray side.

Footscray have been rebuilding their side over the past few years and look to have hit their straps this year. After pushing Eltham last week to a 8-12 loss, they have shown they can mix it with the best.

Camberwell as well have a new look side for this season, and are ironing out the creases with each game. Coach Gathercole is optimistic about this weekend. "Footscray didn't have a great first game, but turned it around against Eltham" Gathercole said. "We're expecting a hard fought game Saturday".

"Our prep for this game has been the best so far and now with a full squad we've given ourselves the best chance."

State League play away at Footscray on Saturday at 2:30pm.
