Score: Camberwell 10 - Eltham 17

Men’s Division 1 team played Eltham at Eltham after a string of tough match ups in the preceding weeks and we were fortunate to field a strong team of players due to the bye in State League this week.

Eltham got the jump on us taking advantage of our disorganised team defence in the first quarter. We made a fair fight of it in the second, both team scoring two a piece, but were unable to stem a torrent of Eltham fast breaks in the third. An inspiring rally in the final quarter lead by Scott Nicholls and Simon Gordon saw us out play and out score Eltham in this final period, but it wasn’t enough to win the match and we ended up loosing 17-10.
