Under 11 - Buzz

Score: Buzz 6 - MCC 10

Away to MCC and only the second official game for most of the team who are new to lacrosse. Three players were out with the flu so the team was grateful to be able to borrow experienced players Ethan Hausler and Lukas Zierhut from the Sting.

Although being down 4-0 at half time there were signs that the Buzz were ready to Buzz. Johnno Nguyen cut loose with a mighty 3 second-half goals plus 3 assists and Ethan chipped in with 2 goals and an assist to have MCC on the run. Gus Minto-Cowcher was impenetrable in defence but, when switched to the midfield, showed his versatility by scoring his first-ever goal after a great ground ball from Lucas. Keither Spencer-Smith, Sven Willets and Harrison Barr battled well on the midfield and showed glimpses of what is to come as their stick skills keep improving. MCC got home 10-6 but the Buzz is stirring.
