Congratulations to Jan Jackson who was appointed Technical Delegate at the upcoming FIL Under 19 Women's World Championship in Hanover, Germany in August 2011. If your game has been umpired by Jan you know her judgement is impeccable. Jan is one of our life members and still regularly umpires indoor competitions and Senior women's games.

The World Indoor Championships will be held in Eden Arena in Prague from May 21-28. Our very own Travis Gathercole and Clinton Lander will both be playing for the Australian squad. They will be competing against Canada, the Czech Republic, England, Ireland, Iroquois Nationals, USA, and Slovakia.

Travis Gathercole is the new State League coach. He will be assisted by Robbie Gloutnay. Further coaching appointments to be announced soon.

Registration Day is on Saturday 2nd April. Juniors are scheduled from 11:30am to 12:30pm and a Senior men's practice will start at 2:00pm. There will be a BBQ lunch in between. Girls and women are welcome to join.

Start dates for the Warrnambool Classic have changed. The committee will send forms and information to women players who are asked to complete them and send payment prior to the games.

Camberwell fees are being set and the committee will try to minimise increases. Complete details and payment options to be announced soon. If you are able to pay in full via electronic lodgement, this always helps the club. Don't forget, prompt payment will be rewarded with canteen vouchers!

Visits will be made to 4 local schools in the next fortnight. Hartwell, Solway, St Michaels and Camberwell South will be shown lacrosse. Unfortunately, it has not been possible to visit all in the area but next year we will target Glen Iris and Ashburton. Thanks to all who have volunteered for this important promotion. Special thanks to Josh Anderson who is steering this programme and helping to create an identity for us at the schools. Saturday programmes start 19th March and new recruits will be coming to try out on Thrusday 24th March.

Lastly, registration for our footy tipping competition will close by the end of the month, 31st March. It doesn't cost much to register for a chance to win weekly prizes and bragging rights!
