Sensational effort by U15 Boys to finish 6th for the Season
The boys had a great season, finishing half way up the ladder. High points were just beating Surrey Park at home and rolling the Melbourne High School Teams with huge scores, the low point was getting beaten by Moreland - a team we comfortably beat the first time around (plus getting thumped by Williamstown twice).
Roy Loveday was our highest goalscorer with 37, supported by Mason Lewis & Fergus Boyd on 21, Andrew Samson-Lowton & James Murray on 20 and Ned McKenna (out injured) on 18. The depth of talent we have bodes well for next year. Of course we couldn't have got there without an amazing defence provided by George Debono, Dante Francese, Finn Whelen (out injured), Marcus Woon, Max Broeks, Pat Whelen, Tim Ducret & Will Crossley.
Matt Barnard & Alexandre Wenczel started the season with us but had to withdraw because of injury and issues, however we were ably supported by the following U13 boys who took the chance to play up - Frank Mckenna (8 goals in 11 games), Tom Sharp, Isaac Bigaignon, Miles Cowton & Varick Boyd.
Congratulations also to Dante Francese (our Captain) and James Murray, who made the Southern Crosse team and will represent Victoria (and Camberwell) in October at the Nationals.
Thanks to Mat Kerr (Senior) for taking us there.
Come on 2018!
